RIPHA is looking for a public health intern!
This internship is unpaid and may be done in tandem with your college requirement. A RIPHA mentor will oversee this internship and provide regular communication and guidance to you as well as communicate with your school advisor if needed.
RIPHA is a non-profit and (primarily) volunteer organization made up of public health professionals and students. RIPHA works toward the advancement of public health in Rhode Island and tribal lands. The vision of RIPHA is a safe and healthier Rhode Island and the mission of RIPHA is to influence public health policy and promote public health practice in Rhode Island.
The length of this internship is flexible, and the ideal candidate will be able to commit to one academic term (school semester, quarter, or trimester).
Our ideal candidate for this internship position will possess the following characteristics:
Current undergraduate/ graduate student with a passion for Public Health.
Strong and efficient writing and communication skills.
Interest in a diversity of fields and the flexibility to manage work.
Self-driven and independently capable of balancing tasks and managing time.
Responsive via email.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Effective research gathering and consolidation skills.
Data analytic skills.
Enthusiasm and a desire to learn more.
Social Media savy (instagram, tiktok, FB, twitter, etc).
RIPHA has several project options for this internship and your mentor will work with you to make sure that it aligns with your college requirements if needed.
